LAPTOP PROGRAM OVERVIEW
At AMS, each student is assigned a dedicated laptop (Chromebook) for use during their core academic classes as well as elective classes. The cost to participate in our program is $35 per year. Program fees provide for cases, laptops and power chargers. AMS is also able to purchase accidental insurance coverage and supplies that allow us to provide a Help Desk services to students with technical issues, account issues and laptop damages. Students are issued Loaner Laptops as needed so they always have a laptop to use in their classes. Our teachers use a class management platform called Canvas. This interactive environment provides teachers and students with many tools to organize and deliver curriculum. Canvas provides a calendar for every student where teachers post assignments and due dates. Parents also have access so they can log on and observe what is happening in each of their student's classes. |
